You can reach us by phone at (813) 835-9893 from 9AM to 6PM EST from Monday to Saturday.  We are closed Sundays, Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving Day, and New Year's Day.

Can I email you for a faster response?

Feel free to email us at sales@hurricanecamping.com anytime.  We will try to answer within 1 business day.  Be forewarned- during the summer and some days throughout the year we spend time field-testing equipment and may not have access to a wireless signal or internet.  Go ahead and leave a mssg and we promise we will get back to you as soon as we can.

What should I buy for a camping trip or to be prepared for an emergency ?

Your equipment and preparation needs are determined by many factors such as your level of experience, where you are living or planning to use your equipment, how many are travelling with you, how long you may be without help or communication, etc.  Please contact us for personalized help as we believe we can save you both time and money by getting it right the first time.

What if I have a return?

We stand behind what we sell 100 percent.  If you have a problem with an item when you receive it, call or email us immediately.  If you have to box up the item to return it to us, we will replace your item as soon as we get the item so be sure to retain the tracking information.  Of course, if you use the item or alter it in any way we most likely will not be able to replace it or refund your purchase.  Some items will not be accepted for return for any reason.  These will be noted as such and may include food or items on sale due to model changes or last of a kind items.

What sets you apart from your competitors?

We are a family-run business with more than 50 years experience in primative camping and outdoor survival and have travelled to some of the remotest places in the world where you survive with what you have on your back.  We spend much of our time outdoors with the same equipment we sell.  We have lived through more than 12 hurricanes, 4 volcanic eruptions on 2 continents and 2 oceanic islands, tornados, and forest fires.
